- Netscape JavaScript Documentation
- ---------------------------------
- All material in the JavaScript documentation is
- copyright 1996 by Netscape Communications Corporation.
-
- NOTE:
- This downloadable version of the JavaScript documentation is
- provided as a convenience for JavaScript developers. When the
- printed version is available, this electronic version may no
- longer be available for free.
-
- The version of PKZIP used turns all file names into 8.3 names.
- You must run JSRENAME.BAT to rename the files from 8.3 their
- full file names so that the hyperlinks work. To do this, CD
- to the directory in which you un-zipped the files and simply
- type JSRENAME at the DOS prompt.
-
- Unfortunately, if you have Windows 3.x, you will not be able
- to rename the files, since it does not support long file names.
- You can still view the individual files in your browser, and if
- you are inspired, you can edit toc.html to point to the 8.3
- names instead.
