  4. Read Me for AGStart

  6. This folder contains the AGStart Scripting Addition that allows you to open guide files using AppleScript.

  8. Use AGStart to start Apple Guide running in the background. You can then use Apple Guide’s Apple events to open guide files, quit Apple Guide, and so on. See Apple Guide’s Dictionary (aete resource) for the complete list of supported Apple events.

  10. If Apple Guide does not respond to events received immediately after the AGStart, it may be due to some delay in Apple Guide initialization.  If this occurs, insert a brief delay after invoking AGStart or invoke AGStart several times. Once Apple Guide starts, additional AGStarts are ignored.

  12. If Apple Guide is not installed, an errAEEventNotHandled (-1708) error is returned.
