- This is the preliminary announcement of the eighth Australian
- Networkshop, with sponsorship from the Australian Academic & Research
- Network.

- NETWORKSHOP '92
-
- The eighth Australian Networkshop will be held at Bond University on
- the Gold Coast of Australia from 2nd to 4th December 1992.
- Networkshop '92 is the annual national workshop of the academic and
- research networking community. The workshop is expected to attract
- people involved in networking, computer-based communications, and
- usage of electronic communications from throughout Australia and New
- Zealand.

- FOCUS

- In addition to the traditional emphasis on the technical development
- and support of the national network, a major focus of Networkshop '92
- will be on the end user of the network. Special emphasis will be
- placed on network services and the significant benefits to the user
- community of using the network to complement or replace the
- traditional methods of gathering and disseminating information.

- WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

- Attendance is invited from a broad range of people ranging from those
- involved in the development and management of computer networks (e.g.,
- network engineers), through network service providers (e.g.,
- librarians), to users with an existing or potential usage of
- electronic communications (e.g., everybody!).
