  6. Final plans have been announced for IFIP Congress '92 -- the 12th
  7. World Computer Congress of the International Federation for
  8. Information Processing (IFIP) -- which will be held in Madrid, 7-11
  9. September 1992.

  11. The Congress will comprise five streams, which will be presented
  12. during all five days of the Congress, and two subconferences, which
  13. will run for two and one half days each:

  18.     Informatics and Education
  19.     The Vulnerability of the Information Society: Social, Legal,
  20.       and Security Aspects
  21.     Software Development and Maintenance
  22.     Algorithms and Efficient Computation

  24.   subconferences:
  25.  
  26.     Expanding the Power of the Personal Computer
  27.     Enhancing the Intelligence in Information Systems
  28.  
  29. For information about submitting papers and posters, please contact
  30. the IFIP Congress '92 Committee at the address given at the end of
  31. this article.  The deadlines for receipt of papers and posters are 10
  32. January and 15 April 1992, respectively.  Proceedings will be
  33. published by Elsevier/North-Holland.

  35. In addition to the streams, subconferences, and workshops, there will
  36. be tutorials, an exhibition, technical visits, and a tourist program
  37. that will coincide with the Spanish celebration of the 500th
  38. anniversary of Columbus's discovery of America.
