  10.         TESTS TO BE MADE DURING THE LINE-UP PERIOD THAT
  11.                PRECEDES A TELEVISION TRANSMISSION

  14.        Insert the following new section 2 in the Recommendation  and  renumber
  15. the existing sections:
  16.  
  17. "2.    Test signal source identification
  18.  
  19.        All full field test signals as described in this Recommendation  should
  20. be superimposed with an identification which includes the point of origin and 
  21. the name of the sending authority. It may be transmitted either in  monochrome  or
  22. in colour according to preference or to suit the  technical  requirements  of  the
  23. particular test signal being transmitted. If the local language of the originating 
  24. station is not an internationally recognized language then the identification should 
  25. be displayed not only in the local language of the station concerned but also in one 
  26. of the internationally recognized languages."

  28.        Indicate in the existing Table 2/N.62 the  following  limits  for  baseline
  29. distortion:
  30.  
  31.        ITC/earth station:                    ± 1%;
  32.  
  33.        Terrestrial only for 525-line:        ± 1%;
  34.  
  35.        Terrestrial only for 625-line:        ± 3%.
  36.  
  37.        Change the existing Note b) to Table 2/N.62 to read:

  39.        "b)  Test objectives given in columns 3a, 3b and 5 refer  to  temporary
  40.             circuit   sections   and    circuits    provided    by    INTELSAT
  41.             satellites  and  relate  to   expected   performance   in   global
  42.             beam  utilizing  earth  stations   having   G/T   of   40.7   dB/K
  43.             and  elevation  angles  of   10°.   Different   figures   may   be
  44.             appropriate   when   other   satellites,   earth   station   sizes
  45.             and elevation angles are employed."
