  1. Installing GNU Chess for windows.
  2.  
  3. GNU Chess for Windows is a port of GNU Chess 3.21. All later versions
  4. of GNU have *NOT* been ported to GNU Windows nor has the Windows version
  5. been updated. If you are intrepid and wish to give it a try, contact
  6. cracraft@ai.mit.edu and let bug-gnu-chess@prep.ai.mit.edu know.

  8. Download all files to your PC.  (Remember to select binary mode for your
  9. file transfer package)
  10.  
  11. Use the makefile `chess.mak' and Microsoft C 6.0 or later to build.
  12. You can try other compilers but don't expect us to help getting it
  13. to run for you. You need to do this yourself.
