  2. I am attempting to extract Lucid Emacs version 19.5 from the 19.5 release CD
  3. using exactly the command syntax provided.  Here is what was returned:
  4.  
  5.  /cdrom/tar-files/lemacs-19.5-sun4.tar.Z: No such file or directory
  6.  
  7. Upon examination of the directory structure and the readme files on the CD, 
  8. there seems to be a problem with this issue.  Under the directory /cdrom/tar_
  9. file (note no "s" at the end) are the following four files:

  11. contents.       lemacs_0.z      lemacs_1.z      xpm_3_2a.z
  12.  
  13. At the top of the directory tree on the CD are the following three files and
  14. directories:
  15.  
  16. dr-xr-xr-x  1 root         2048 Feb  5 12:50 lemacs_1
  17. -r-xr-xr-x  1 root        11443 Jan 31 12:00 readme.
  18. dr-xr-xr-x  1 root         2048 Feb  5 12:20 tar_file
  19.  
  20. The lemacs_1 directory contains the following:
  21.  
  22. build_in.       info            lemacs.         makefile.       readme.
  23. cpp             install.        lisp            man             src
  24. etc             install.sh      lock            problems.       vms
  25.  
  26. The /cdrom/tar_file/contents. file states that the files described on the CD
  27. package are the contents of this disk.

  29. Help!  Do I need to send this back for a replacement?
