  1. Oftentimes, I'm positioned at the start of a routine, and I want to
  2. delete everything in the file previous to that (so that I can, for
  3. example, write a temp file containing just that routine and then
  4. print it out and mark it up with colored pencils, without which I
  5. seem unable to program :-)  Unlike Gosling emacs, which let me
  6. go control u <zillion> delete, lucid emacs gets huffy if "zillion"
  7. is too large, and complains "mumble out of range".  Can that be fixed?
