- I have only caught on recenlty with Luci Emacs (19.4). I use it on my
- linux machine at home and I love it. However, after a couple hours of
- use, lemacs grows in size (gradually, over the course of those two
- hours) to more than 8 megs. Now this is ridiculous, what would the
- program do with all that memory? I'm not editing any large files
- either (I have 20 megs, but it feels so little once you take 8 of that
- away).
-
- So I guess the question is: 1) Is this a known bug in 19.4? (that was
- hopefully corrected in a later version), and 2) Is this behavior
- observed on systems other than linux?
-
- By comparison, Emacs 18.58 and 19.7 never grow to more than two megs,
- and is usually at the 1.5 megs mark.
-
- Thanks.
