  1. I loaded the sun binaries of lemacs onto my workstation and installed the
  2. proper links to the lisp and etc directories of emacs.  Nevertheless, I
  3. still get the following messages:

  7. couldn't find an obvious default for load-path, exec-directory, and
  8. lock-directory, and there were no defaults specified in paths.h when
  9. emacs was built.  Perhaps some directories don't exist, or the emacs
  10. executable, /usr/local/src/lemacs-19.6/lemacs is in a strange place?

  12. Initialization error: File error: "Cannot open load file", "term/x-win"

  15. Of course all these files exist.  Any ideas?
