- My understanding is that selective redisplay has been disabled in
- Lucid Emacs because there are some bugs in it. It is possible to
- enable it by setting some flags in the xdisp.c file and recompiling
- lemacs. Sorry, I don't know what the flags are called. Also, I can't
- tell you what kind of problems you might expect to encounter.
