  4. I have just switched to Lucid Emacs and I think I gonna like it a lot !

  6. Nevertheless, there are a few things that work for emacs but don't work for
  7. Lucid Emacs and that will have to be changed.

  9. Eg: When I am in dired mode with Lucid Emacs and type the down-arrow-key or
  10. the up-arrow-key, I get a beep and emacs says:

  12. Wrong type argument: number-or-marker-p, nil
  13.  
  14. Besides this, the cursor is moved one line up or down, but the beep can get
  15. quite annoying ...
  16.  
  17. Does anyone know what this means and how to stop it ?
