- There seem to me to be a couple of infelicities in the functioning
- of filename completion, compared to the filename completion function in
- the version of Gosling emacs that Unipress sells. In particular:
-
- If I type space at a point where there is one and only one possible
- file satisfying the first part of the name, why doesn't lucid-emacs
- complete the entire name, as opposed to requiring that I type space
- for each following segment of the name? Also, why doesn't typing a
- space after that cause the command execution to start, as opposed to
- requiring that a CR be typed, since CR requires either hand motion
- or using less dextrous fingers.
-
- (Yes, the user or filename completion routine, your choice, would have
- to have the brain cells to avoid the bug of loading an empty directory.)
