- Hi,
-
- I've just compiled Lucid 19.6 on our HP9000/730 running HPUX
- 9.01. It compiles and runs when I use m-hp9000k800.h and
- s-hpux8.h and links with archive versions of all libraries
- (-Wl,-a,archive). However, I've noticed two problems:
-
-
- 1)
- When I run the editor, I get some funny characters in the mode
- line. This is (approximately) how my modeline looks now:
-
- --**-Emacs:xrnGAAa20214 (Fundamental)----All-@^SE^H------------
-
- The E in '@^SE^H' sometimes changes between lots of characters
- when I type.
-
-
- 2)
- This bug also occured in 19.4. When I compile with only Motif
- (currently I use Lucid and Motif) the menubars are Motif. The
- problem is that the menupanes don't disappear when I don't choose
- anything from them (but moves the mouse pointer out of the pane
- and releases the mouse button). In fact, X is 'locked' (I can't
- generate any events anymore, no windows respond) until I manage
- to log in from another machine and kill emacs.
-
- Another symptom of the same problem (I think) is that if I choose
- something from the menupanes, the menupane goes away but the
- cascade button (the button you press to get the menupane) is not
- deactivated.
-
- I compiled with HP's X11R5 and Motif1.2 and linked with archive
- versions of the libraries.

- Bye,
