  1. I've had this problem with the emerge package from both 19.2 and 19.6.
  2. The symptom is the following: when merging two files, and if I hit 'n'
  3. in the emerge mode to get to the next error, lemacs puts me one char
  4. in advance of the start of the diff section, instead of the beginning.
  5. As a result, if I then use 'a' or 'b', the changes to the merged
  6. version misses by one char.

  8. I find this error quite fatal and was forced to drop back to epoch
  9. whenever I had to do emerge...
  10.  
  11. Also, when will split-screen-horizontally be functional again so that
  12. I can do emerge with a side-by-side diff as in EPOCH? This is much
  13. more beneficial than having the fonts and color change for the diff
  14. area.
