  4. It is also available directly from the GNU Project on the `Emacs'

  7. CLISP is a Common Lisp implementation by Bruno Haible and Michael Stoll.
  8. It mostly conforms to the version of Common Lisp described by "Common LISP:
  9. The Language (1st edition)".  CLISP runs on many microcomputers including
  10. the Atari ST, Amiga 500-2000, most MS-DOS systems, and OS/2) as well as on
  11. Unix workstations (Linux, SunOS (SPARC), Sun386, HP-UX (HP 9000/800), and
  12. others) and needs only 1.5 MB of memory.  CLISP includes an interpreter, a
  13. compiler, and (for some machines) a screen editor.  German and English
  14. versions are available, French coming soon.
