  36.     Some mailers  (like 4.2 BSD's \fIsendmail\fP)
  37. allow mail to be directed to specific programs.
  38. The nfmail program facilitates sending mail to notesfiles.
  39. The subject line of the mailed letter is extracted and used as the
  40. title of the note.
  41. Nfmail extracts the author's name and system
  42. from the body of the letter.
  43. Subject lines are examined for ``Re:'' prefixes and, if they
  44. exist, are used in an attempt to link the letter as a reply to
  45. an existing base note.

  47.     To send mail addressed to ``somenotes'' 
  48. to the notesfile ``somenotes'' with the 4.1 Bsd or later mail delivery
  49. mechanism
  50. add the following line to the file /usr/lib/aliases.
  51. The second line shows the general format for /usr/lib/aliases entries
  52. which feed a notesfile.
  53. If the Notesfile utilities are stored in a different directory, the
  54. path name should be changed appropriately.
