  1. SET DISPLAY-OUTGOING-MESSAGE NO/yes  -  whether to show message text
  2.  
  3. With the usual NO setting, in any situation where you enter "text mode"
  4.   any existing text is not redisplayed.  (You can redisplay the existing 
  5.   text by typing control-k or control-l.)
  6.  
  7. If you change it to YES, you will see the existing text, with the cursor
  8.   at a new line right after it.  If the text is too long to fit on screen,
  9.   you will see the last screenful of it.  
  10.  
  11. There might be existing text to be displayed:
  12. o  If, at the Send> prompt, you use the TEXT command to go back and add
  13.    more text.
  14. o  If you used the option INCLUDING with a REPLY command (the included
  15.    text is part of the reply message).

  17. For more help, type "help" and one of the following:
  18. (at any prompt:)  save-init   set   show  
  19.                   text-mode    set reply-initial-display
  20. (at the MM> or Read> prompts:)  reply   send
