  1. STATUS  -  display information about your MM process
  2.  
  3. Usage:  STATUS [VERBOSE]
  4.  
  5. The STATUS command will display information and statistics about your
  6.   MM process and current mail file.  Adding "verbose" displays a few
  7.   additional lines of information.
  8.  
  9. Example:
  10.     MM>status    
  11.      File /f/u1/abc1/mbox (mbox)
  12.      26 messages, 26 old, 3 deleted, 0 unseen, 37k bytes
  13.      Currently at message 26
  14.   Meaning: The current mail file is /f/u1/abc1/mbox (the mbox file of the
  15.   userid "abc1"), and its format is mbox (the usual format).  The next
  16.   line comments on the messages: "old" means in the file before this session; 
  17.   37k bytes (about 37,000 characters) is the size of the whole file mbox.  
  18.   The last line shows what message is "current" (message-sequence "current", 
  19.   used by various commands).
