  1. MM   READ
  2.  
  3. You are now in READ MODE, indicated by the prompt "Read>" or "R>".  There 
  4. are two other specialized "modes" in MM:
  5.    TOP-LEVEL    prompt MM>        general commands
  6.    SEND MODE    prompt Send> or S>      handles a message you are sending.
  7.  
  8. The most commonly used commands in READ MODE are:
  9.  [return key]    to go to the next message if any or to TOP-LEVEL
  10.  DELETE        to mark the message for deletion
  11.  REPLY        to send a reply to the message
  12.  HELP and ?    to get online help-- see the next paragraph  
  13.  QUIT         to quit READ MODE and return to TOP-LEVEL
  14.  
  15. The HELP command shows help screens about MM commands, topics, and variables.
  16.   Type "help help" for information about the HELP command.  Type "help ?"
  17.   ("help", space, question-mark) for a list of all commands and topics for 
  18.   which help is available.
