  4. Welcome to TANGAROOSs.  Thank you for evaluating this program.  I hope that
  5. you find TANGAROOs fun and easy to use.  Don't forget to read the files

  34. PURPOSE
  35.  
  36. TANGAROOs is an educational tool to help build skills in problem solving
  37. and spatial orientation.  This tool is based on the concept of tangram
  38. shapes.  The goal of this tool is to present you with a picture that you
  39. have to duplicate using the seven tangram shapes that are provided.  In
  40. addition, there is a Save Mode option that allows you to create your own
  41. pictures.  Please see "How to Use TANGAROOs" in the online help for
  42. additional information.

  44. THE MOUSE
  45.  
  46. In order to use TANGAROOs, it is NECESSARY to learn how to use the mouse.
  47. Although the menu items can be obtained from the keyboard, the shapes can
  48. only be manipulated with the mouse.  The following is a key to using the
  49. mouse within TANGAROOs (double clicking is not used):

  76. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
  77.  
  78. 1) You must be running Windows 3.1.
  79.  
  80. 2) You must use at least VGA mode (TANGAROOs has been tested to work well
  81.    in VGA, SuperVGA and XGA resolutions).
  82.  
  83. The above are the only requiremnets to use TANGAROOs.  In addition, you may
  84. want to load a Windows 3.1 sound driver to use the sounds within TANGAROOs.
  85. However, sound is NOT a requirement to using this program.

  87. INSTALLATION
  88.  
  89. You should have received TANGAROOs in a self-extracting archive file
  90. (TANGROO1.EXE).  To install the files on your computer, perform the
  91. following:
  92.  
  93. 1) At the DOS prompt, create a directory to hold the TANGAROO files.
  94.    For example:          MKDIR TANGAROO
  95.  
  96. 2) Change directories so that you are in the new directory.
  97.    For example:          CD \TANGAROO
  98.  
  99. 3) Execute the self-extracting archive file for TANGAROOs.
  100.    For example:          TANGROO1.EXE
  101.  
  102. At this point, the files listed earlier should be copied onto your
  103. harddisk.
  104.  
  105. 4) Start Windows
  106.    For example:          WIN
  107.  
  108. 5) To run TANGAROOs, pull down the File menu within Program Manager.
  109.    Select Run... and type in the name of the program.
  110.    For example:          TANGAROO.EXE
  111.  
  112.    If Windows reports that it cannot find the program, repeat step 5 and
  113. add
  114.    the name of the directory in front of the executable name.
  115.    For example:          C:\TANGAROO\TANGAROO.EXE
  116.  
  117. See you Window's documentation on how to create an icon to run TANGAROOs.

  119. That's all there is to installing TANGAROOs.  Remember that while TANGAROOs
  120. is running, you can get access to the online help by pressing the F1 key or
  121. using the Help menu.

  123. *** Shareware Evaluation Version ***
  124.  
  125. TANGAROOs is distributed as Shareware software.  This means that users are
  126. encouraged, subject to the restrictions described in the License Agreement,
  127. to share copies of this program with friends, associates, and bulletin
  128. boards.  Please remember that if you use TANGAROOs beyond the 30-day
  129. evaluation, you are required to pay the registration fee of $20 as
  130. described in LICENSE.DOC and ORDER.DOC.
