  1. Mindbuster! v3.2
  2.  
  3. Mindbuster! is a program that requires Windows to run.
  4. It is written in Visual Basic, but does NOT require you,
  5. the user, to have that particular program on your computer.
  6.  
  7. You also need the file  VBRUN200.DLL  to run the program.
  8. This file is available on many bulletin boards, Compuserve
  9. and other similar places.
  10.  
  11. There are several ways of installing Mindbuster!
  12.  
  13. (1)  If you do not already have the file VBRUN200.DLL on
  14. your machine, the easiest thing to do is COPY that file
  15. to your Windows directory.  Persons who have Visual Basic
  16. version 2 will already have the file.  Persons who have
  17. version 1 of Visual Basic will have VBRUN100.DLL, but that
  18. will NOT suffice.  You need VBRUN200.DLL.

  20. If you do not wish to copy VBRUN200.DLL to your Windows
  21. directory, then put it in the same place that your put the
  22. executable file MINDBUST.EXE
  23.  
  24. (2)  You can copy all the other files (all named MINDBUST. or .WAV)
  25. to any directory or subdirectory of your choice.

  27. A word about the sounds. Visual Basic does not have the PLAY command which
  28. most Basics do. This is a result of the nature and structure of the
  29. Windows environment -- one if its 'features'.  Windows allows several
  30. programs to be running simultaneously.  It would not be nice to stop
  31. them from running just so you could play a few bars of your favorite
  32. song

  34. If, however, you have a sound board installed, or have installed
  35. SPEAKER.DRV on your machine you will have access to a few sound effects.
  36.  
  37. The changes from Version 3.1 are relatively minor.  They include primarily
  38. rearranging where some of the options are found on the Main Menu.  Instead
  39. of there being only two main options: GAME and HELP, there are now three:
  40. GAME, OPTIONS, and HELP.  Those options which did not deal directly with
  41. starting, stopping and quitting the game have been moved under OPTIONS.

  43. Mindbuster! is considered SHAREWARE, and your contribution of $10 is
  44. most welcome.
