- Hardware Required:
- Requires an IBM 386 or better, or a 100% compatible. Requires a minimum
- 2 MB of RAM, with DOS loaded high. Requires DOS 5.0 or higher. Requires MCGA
- for VGA graphics system, or 100% compatible. Memory Requirement: 610 thousand
- bytes of conventional memory (if using a sound driver) and 600 thousand bytes
- of expanded memory. Sound Supported: IBM, AdLib, ProAudio, SoundBlaster and
- compatibles, and Roland sound.

- Installation:
- To change to a different sound driver other than IBM, Type INSTALL, press
- enter/return, then select reconfigure hardware options. Select your sound
- card and press enter/return. To run the game type TF1942 and press
- enter/return. The first time the demo is run a 3d land file will be generated,
- this will take aprox 5 to 10 minutes. The game can now be played by again by
- typeing TF1942.

- General Controls
- Move Cursor ARROW keys, mouse or joystick
- Increase Time Rate + (for max time rate Shift +)
- Decrease Time Rate - (for min time rate Shift -)
- Pause ALT+P
- Remove Pause Any key
- Quit to DOS ALT+Q

- Bridge F1, if no menus open, ESC key, right mouse button, or
- joystick button.
- Charts F2
- Gun Director F3, to switch to wide view use 3
- Observer View F4
- Torpedo Director F5
- Damage Control F6
- Binoculars F7

- Turn to Port <
- Turn to Starboard >
- Increase Speed 1
- Decrease Speed 2

- Targeting and Viewing Controls

- Zoom Z (for max zoom Shift Z)
- Unzoom X (for min zoom Shift X)
- Traverse View LEFT/RIGHT ARROW (fine adjust use CTRL ARROW)
- Range Adjust UP/DOWN ARROW (fine adjust use CTRL ARROW)
- Fire Weapon RETURN/ENTER key, left mouse button, joystick button
- Gun Targeting SPACE BAR, toggles on and off
