- Aquanaut! an arcade game for OS/2
- =================================
-
- Aquanaut is a fast paced arcade-type game for OS/2. It makes full use of
- MMPM/2 for extensive sound effects and background music.
-
- The idea of the game is to control a submarine over the ocean floor, to
- save treasure chests which are being looted by a variety of underwater
- monsters. As you zoom under the ocean blue you'll encounter giant seahorses,
- jellyfish, U-boats, torpedoes, all of them bent on your destruction. If
- you're lucky you'll find a mermaid or rubber ring to help you against the
- onslaught of monsters.
-
- Your sub is equipped with a powerful laser cannon and scatter bombs, which
- kill everything in sight. It also has the capability to aqua-warp to
- another location on the ocean floor. A sonar display helps you locate the
- treasure and monsters in your proximity.
-
- The sub may be controlled either through definable keys or using the mouse.
- There are many options to define the setup of the game including object size,
- game speed, enabling of eneny bullets and sonar display, enabling of sound
- and music...
-
- All settings are saved between games, including the high-score table.
-
- To install aquanaut:
-
- 1) Make a directory for Aquanaut!.
-
- 2) Copy/download AQUANAUT.ZIP to this directory
-
- 3) Unzip the ZIP file. This should generate AQUANAUT.EXE, AQUANAUT.HLP,
- AQUANAUT.MID and 20 .WAV files
-
- 4) Either copy AQUANAUT.HLP to a directory within your HELP path
- (Eg. C:\OS2\HELP) or modify the HELP environment variable in CONFIG.SYS
- to include your AQUANAUT directory.
-
- 5) Delete AQUANAUT.ZIP
-
- 6) Type 'AQUANAUT' and you're ready to go!
