-
Global History
-
Mosaic will maintain a global history of visited Web sites, Gopher sites, Ftp sites,
- Newsgroups, etc. Mosaic's global history will save the anchor information to any
- Internet asset and present this information visually by changing the color of the
- previously visited anchors. The anchor color settings are user configurable and the default settings
- are:
-

-

-
Blue

-
Visited anchors of files that are not in your disk cache.
-
Green
-
Visited anchors of files that are in your disk cache.
-

-
-

- Mosaic offers you the option to set an expiration date for the visited anchors.
- Mosaic also offers you the ability to age the color of an anchor from the visited
- color to the unvisited color as frequency of the anchor visit approaches expiration.
- For example, if you have a visited anchor (Red) and the "Expire
- Visited Anchors 30 days" feature is selected, then
- the color of the anchor will start to change toward the unvisited anchor
- color (Blue) as the expiration date approaches.
-
- When the thirty day expiration date is met, Mosaic will remove the URL from
- the global history list and the anchor will assume the unvisited anchor color(Blue).
- The default setting for the expiration is thirty days and it is user configurable.
-
