  5. If you have any extra parameters to pass to the kernel, enter them at the
  6. prompt below after one of the valid configuration names (ramdisk, mount, drive2)
  7. Here are some examples (and more can be found in the BOOTING file):

  9.   ramdisk hd=cyl,hds,secs   (Where "cyl", "hds", and "secs" are the number of 
  10.                              cylinders, sectors, and heads on the drive. Most
  11.                              machines won't need this.)

  13. In a pinch, you can boot your system with a command like:
  14.   mount root=/dev/hda1
  15.  
  16. On machines with low memory, you can use mount root=/dev/fd1 or 
  17. mount root=/dev/fd0 to install without a ramdisk.  See LOWMEM.TXT for details.

  19. If you would rather load the root/install disk from your second floppy drive:
  20.   drive2  (or even this:  ramdisk root=/dev/fd1)
  21.  
  22. DON'T SWITCH ANY DISKS YET! This prompt is just for entering extra parameters.
