  20. RULES OF CONDUCT

  22. When you are logged on to the Ultima Online Service, you must abide by the following rules. IF YOU 
  23. BREAK ANY OF THESE RULES, YOUR ULTIMA ONLINE ACCOUNT, AND YOUR RIGHT TO 
  24. USE THE ULTIMA ONLINE SERVICE, MAY BE TERMINATED IMMEDIATELY BY ORIGIN 
  25. SYSTEMS. IF THIS HAPPENS, YOU WILL NOT BE ENTITLED TO ANY REFUND OF ANY 
  26. AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO USE THE ULTIMA ONLINE SERVICE.

  28. The rules are:

  30. * You may not harass, threaten, embarrass or cause distress, unwanted attention or discomfort to another 
  31. player. 
  32. * You may not use any offensive or sexually explicit language. 
  33.  
  34. * You may not use any unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, 
  35. hateful, racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable language toward any other player. 
  36.  
  37. * You may not impersonate any Ultima Online Customer Support representative or other employee of 
  38. Origin Systems. 
  39.  
  40. * You may not market, promote or advertise anything, or make any other form of solicitaion (including 
  41. pyramid schemes and chain letters) on the Ultima Online Service or through the Ultima Online Web Site. 
  42.  
  43. * You may not violate any local, state, national or international law or regulation. 
  44.  
  45. * You may not modify any part of the Ultima Online Service or Web Site that Origin Systems does not 
  46. specifically authorize you to modify. 
  47.  
  48. * You may not arrange for the exchange or transfer of any pirated software or other contraband while you 
  49. are on the Ultima Online Service or Web Site, or use the Ultima Online Service or Web Site for any other 
  50. illegal purpose. 
  51.  
  52. * You may not organize any guilds or groups that are based on, or espouse, any racist, sexist, anti-
  53. religious, anti-ethnic, anti-gay, or other hate-mongering philosophy. 
  54.  
  55. * You may not use the Ultima Online Service or the Ultima Online Web Site for any activities other than 
  56. activities that are permitted within the game world. 
  57.  
  58. * You may not post or communicate any player's real world personal information within the Ultima Online 
  59. Service or through the Ultima Online Web Site or bulletin board. 
  60.  
  61. * You may not give false information or intentionally hide any information that is required at the time you 
  62. register with the Ultima Online Service. 
  63.  
  64. * You will not upload or transmit on the Ultima Online Service, or through the Ultima Online Web Site or 
  65. bulletin board, any copyrighted content that you do not own all rights to, unless you have the express 
  66. written permission of the author or copyright holder.

  68. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU AGREE TO THESE RULES AND WILL ABIDE BY THEM.

  70. YOU FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU ARE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD.

  72. YOU FURTHER AGREE THAT THESE RULES WILL APPLY TO ANYONE THAT YOU ALLOW TO 
  73. USE YOUR ULTIMA ONLINE ACCOUNT OR USER ID, AND THAT YOU ARE PERSONALLY 
  74. RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONSEQUENCES (INCLUDING TERMINATION OF YOUR ACCOUNT) 
  75. THAT MAY RESULT IF ANY SUCH PERSON BREAKS THESE RULES.

  77. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT IF YOUR ACCOUNT AND RIGHT TO USE THE ULTIMA ONLINE 
  78. SERVICE IS TERMINATED BY ORIGIN SYSTEMS FOR ANY REASON, YOU WILL NOT BE 
  79. ENTITLED TO A REFUND OF ANY FEES PAID BY YOU FOR USE OF THE ULTIMA ONLINE 
  80. SERVICE.

  82. THESE RULES MAY BE CHANGED, AND NEW RULES MAY BE ADDED, AT ANY TIME. YOU 
  83. AGREE TO CHECK THE ULTIMA ONLINE WEB SITE FROM TIME TO TIME TO REVIEW ANY 
  84. RULE CHANGES THAT ORIGIN MAY HAVE MADE.

  93. II.  Origin Warranty
  94.  
  95.  ORIGIN Systems, Inc. LIMITED 90-DAY WARRANTY
  96.  
  97. ORIGIN warrants to the original purchaser of this computer software product that the recording medium on 
  98. which the software programs are recorded will be free from defects in material and workmanship for 90 
  99. days from the date of purchase. 
  100.  
  101. If the recording medium is found defective within 90 days of original purchase, ORIGIN agrees to replace, 
  102. free of charge, any such product upon receipt at its Factory Service Center of the product, postage paid, 
  103. with proof of date of purchase. 
  104.  
  105. This warranty is limited to the recording medium containing the software program originally provided by 
  106. ORIGIN. This warranty shall not be applicable and shall be void if the defect has arisen through abuse, 
  107. mistreatment or neglect.
  108.  
  109. Any implied warranties applicable to this product are limited to the 90-day period described above. If 
  110. failure of the software product, in the judgment of ORIGIN, resulted from accident, abuse, mistreatment of 
  111. neglect, or if the recording medium should fail after the original 90-day warranty period has expired, you 
  112. may return the software program to ORIGIN, at the address noted below, with a check or money order for 
  113. $8.50 (U.S. currency), which includes postage and handling, and ORIGIN will mail a replacement to you. 
  114. To receive a replacement, you should enclose the defective medium (including the original product label) 
  115. in protective packaging accompanied by: (1) a $8.50 check (2) a brief statement describing the defect and 
  116. (3) your return address. 
  117. Canada and Foreign Orders Note: Only U.S. money orders are accepted. 
  118.  
  119. Except as set forth above, this warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, whether oral or written, express or 
  120. implied, including any warrant of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, and no other 
  121. representation of claims of any nature shall be binding on or obligate ORIGIN. 
  122.  
  123. In no event will ORIGIN be liable for special, incidental or consequential damage resulting from 
  124. possession, use or malfunction of this product, including damage to property and to the extent permitted by 
  125. law, damages for personal injury, even if ORIGIN has been advised of the possibility for such damages. 
  126.  
  127. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts and/or the exclusion or 
  128. limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation and/or exclusion or limitation of 
  129. liability may not apply to you. 
  130.  
  131. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights that vary from state to state.
