  1. MapServe is a Common Gateway Interface (CGI) program for use with WebSTAR.  MapServe allows World Wide Web servers housed on a Macintosh or PowerMacintosh computer to serve clickable graphics with "hotspots" that can call any other document available on the World Wide Web via Uniform Resource Locators.
