  4. INSTALLATION
  5. ------------
  6. ERS 2000 is for FAT/FAT32 partition only.
  7. There are two installation to be made, the ERS VB6run and the
  8. ERS 2000.
  9. Run Setup.exe and select to install the VB6run first, when done
  10. run Setup.exe again and select to install ERS 2000.

  12. ERS 2000 installs in any drive with no path option because it has to
  13. be accessed from a DOS environment that doesn't recognize long file
  14. names.

  17. Reinstall and Updates
  18. ---------------------
  19. Download the about 125 KB and unzip to a temporary directory.
  20.  
  21. Run ERSSetup.exe and select the "Reinstall" button if you are 
  22. reinstalling to a previous installation.
  23. Take care  to see that the correct drive to the previous installation is
  24. selected and shown in the drive window. 
  25.  
  26. When reinstalling, don't delete the previous {older} Ers2000 directory.
  27. Merely selecting the "Reinstall" command, it will 
  28. update and replace all files and recreate any missing files or folders.

  30. UNINSTALL:

  33. Open the ERS2000 directory and run Remove.exe, then
  34. delete the entire Ers2000 directory.

  36. UNINSTALLING the VB6run:
  37. -----------------------

  39. Not recommended
  40. To Un-install, go to the Control Panel  Add/Remove Programs, scroll 
  41. down to VB6run and click uninstall. Suggest not to uninstall the
  42. VB6run because it will be needed to run other programs programmed
  43. with Visual Basic 6.0.
