- NetComm PC Card/PCMCIA Modem Installation for Windows 95

- The following procedure outlines the process for installing a PC Card (PCMCIA)
- modem under Windows 95.
-
- -From the Start Menu choose Settings | Control Panel.
- -Double click on the "System" Icon.
- -Click in the "Device Manager" tab.
- -Double click on the "PCMCIA Socket" device.
- -Highlight the any "PCMCIA controller" from under the PCMCIA socket device.
- -Click the "Remove" button.
- -If Windows 95 asks you to restart your system click the "NO" button.
- -Double click the "Ports(COM & LPT)" device.
- -Highlight "Communications Port (COM 2)" if available.
- -Click on the "Remove" button.
- -If available Double click on the "Modems" device.
- -Highlight any "modems" listed.
- -Click the "Remove" button.
- -Click the "OK" button.
- -Restart your computer.

- -After restarting, from the Start button choose Settings|Control Panel.
- -Double click on the "Add New Hardware" Icon.
- -Click the "Next" button.
- -Select the "Yes (Recommended)" box.
- -Click the "Next" button.
- -The system should find a "PCIC compatible PCMCIA Controller"
- -Click the "Finish" button.
- -Select the "No" box.
- -Click the "Next" Button.
- -Select the "No" box.
- -Click the "Next" button.
- -Click on the "Finish" button.
- -Select the "Driver provided from Hardware manufacturer" box.
- -Click the "OK" button.
- -Click the "Have Disk" button.
- -Ensure that this disk is in Drive A: (or appropriate drive).
- -Click on the "OK" button.
- -Select your modem from the list provided on the disk.
- -Click on the "OK" button.
- -Click on the "Finish" button.
- -Restart your computer.

- Your modem should now be configured for Windows95.
