  1. Thank you for evaluating Directory Toolkit!
  2.  
  3. Create a directory and copy all the files on disk into it, then create a shortcut to DIRTKT.EXE.
  4. The registered version comes with an install program.
  5.  
  6. New features in v2.1-2.52 include:
  7. - Toolbar buttons were added for Options and Compare Files.
  8. - Compare Files dialog can display files one above the other or side by side (see
  9.   Options dialog).
  10. - Synchronize Directories now has a Remove Duplicate files from Target option.
  11. - Windows NT 3.51 is now detected and supported for the Synchronize and
  12.   Sort/Concatenate features.
  13. - Allow display of identical files only, different files only or all files (default).
  14. - Allow sorting of Compare Directories list by date/size/name/type ascending or 
  15.   descending.
  16. - Expanding of the Options using a tabbed dialog.
  17. - Detailed side-by-side file comparison report.  Any two files can be selected.
  18. - Compare Directories can generate a tab-delimited output file (see Options).
  19. - Include Subdirectories switch is now available on the View menu.
  20. - Additional toolbar items were added for Refresh and Synch. Directories.
  21. - Improved detection of encoded files and a variation of BinHex files can now be 
  22.   decoded.
  23. - F7, F8, Del keys work as in File Manager (Move,Copy, Delete) and F2 Renames.
  24. - Encoding (UUENCODE and Base64) of files.
  25. - Additional options (Refresh, Update, Prune) for Synchronize Directories feature.
  26. - Concatenate dialog allows decoding of target file when done.
  27. - Exclude masks can now be used.  For example: *.*;~*.swp;~*.exe;~*.dll will process
  28.   all but *.swp;*.exe;*.dll files.  No limit on the number of files processed exists.
  29. - Two status messages are displayed (one for each directory).
  30. - Documentation (help file) was updated to include latest features.
  31. - Decoding now supports XXENCODED, user (table) formats as well as multi-part
  32.   and multiple attachments in one file.
  33. - Drag and Drop to and from any application that supports OLE file dragging.
  34. - Binary compare of files regardless of date/time stamp (see Compare Options).
  35.  
  36. Planned enhancements:
  37. - Allowing the synched scrolling to be turned on/off.
  38. - More encoding formats will be supported.
  39. - Binary Compare of files (displayed as a Hex dump).
