  21.   WS_FTP LE is a Windows based file transfer client application that 
  22.   is used to transfer files between a userÆs local PC and another, 
  23.   remote computer system connected via a modem and telephone lines 
  24.   or by a local-area network. With WS_FTP LE, users can connect
  25.   to any remote system that has a valid Internet address and an FTP 
  26.   server program, browse through directories and files, and transfer 
  27.   files between the two systems. In addition, users can create, change,
  28.   and remove directories and view, execute, rename, or delete files.

  30.   WS_FTP LE complies with the Windows sockets (Winsock) standard, 
  31.   allowing you to transfer files between a wide variety of systems, 
  32.   including Windows, OS/2, and UNIX systems.

  76.   Unzip the download file into a temporary directory and execute 
  77.   INSTALL.

  79.   NOTE: If you are upgrading from a previous version of WS_FTP, the 
  80.   installation program asks if you want to retain the existing 
  81.   ws_ftp.ini file. This file contains your saved session profiles, 
  82.   so you will likely want to retain it.

  86.   To properly remove WS_FTP LE from your system, use the "Un-install" 
  87.   icon provided in the WS_FTP folder or run "remove.exe" in the WS_FTP
  88.   installed directory.

  150. Changing your MTU Setting
  151. =========================
  152.   After connecting to an FTP site, if you experience the following 
  153.   problems,you may need to change the value of the Maximum Transfer
  154.   Unit (MTU) parameter defined for your PC's network stack software.
  155.  
  156.   - The list box for the site is blank and the followng message 
  157.     appears: "DoDirList returned 4"
  158.   - You received one or more "Blocking call cancelled" messages 
  159.     and the file transfer is incomplete.
  160.   - WS_FTP Pro returns only NNNNN bytes of a file and can never 
  161.     retrieve the whole file.

  163.   To change the MTU setting on your PC (for Windows 95 systems): 
  164.  
  165.   1. Start the program regedit.exe to access the Windows registry.
  166.  
  167.    Note: If you are not confident in working with your Windows 
  168.    registry, PLEASE don't do this! Making a mistake while editing 
  169.    your registry may render your computer unusable! We advice that
  170.    you make a backup copy of your registry before making changes 
  171.    to it.)

  173.   2. Go to the following registry key:

  189.      twice, and then enter the value 576).

  192.      Edit->Modify and enter the value 576.
