  69.     Congratulations, you have a shareware copy of the MANDELBROT/JULIA
  70. SET GENERATOR, a Fractal Image Creator. You may freely copy this
  71. shareware version. The registration form is contained in the file
  72. REGISTER.DOC, and also in MANDEL.DOC, and you may wish to give this to
  73. others to obtain their registered copy. This MANDELBROT/JULIA SET
  74. GENERATOR will produce 256 color PCX images up to 4800 pixels square.

  76.     To install MANDELBROT/JULIA SET GENERATOR on your hard disk (drive
  77. C:), insert the diskette in drive A: and type the following:

  82.         3. Type MAN to run your MANDELBROT/JULIA SET GENERATOR program

  85. to operate. All of the files on the MANDELBROT/JULIA SET GENERATOR
  86. diskette must be in the same directory as the MAN.EXE program, otherwise

  136.     The Mandelbrot/Julia Set Generator program requires an IBM
  137. compatible computer with at least 512K of memory, a VGA display and a
  138. Microsoft compatible mouse. The installation process is quite easy.
  139. (Users obtaining .ZIP files from the Internet or a BBS can skip this
  140. installation process.)
  141.  
  142.     First, make a backup copy of your Mandelbrot/Julia Set Generator
  143. program disk. If necessary, consult your PC-DOS/MS-DOS manual for a
  144. description of the Diskcopy command. Save the original program disk in a
  145. safe place and use the copy as the working program disk.
  146.  
  147.     Second, while it is possible to use the Mandelbrot/Julia Set
  148. Generator on a floppy disk system, a hard disk system is a necessity if
  149. you wish to store a number of image files. To install the
  150. Mandelbrot/Julia Set Generator on a hard disk use the following steps:
  151.  
  152.     1. Insert the floppy disk in your computer in drive A. (or B if
  153.        necessary)
  154.     2. Type A: (or B:)
  155.     3. Type INSTALL A C
  156.  
  157.     Any hard drive letters can be used, for example INSTALL B D will
  158. install the program from floppy drive B to hard drive D. The
  159. installation will create a directory called MAND5 on your hard drive and
  160. you will need to enter a CD\MAND5 to change to the Mandelbrot/Julia Set
  161. Generator directory before running the program. Once installed just type
  162. MAN to start the program. All the files for Mandelbrot/Julia Set
  163. Generator need to be in the same directory for the program to operate
  164. successfully.
