-
- JView is a RIP Scrip, ICN, and Windows ICO viewer. With JView you can view
- these three popular formats. You can run JView by simply typing JView and
- using the file selector, or you can run JView from the DOS command line by
- typing "jview filename". If you do not specify an extension ".RIP" will be
- added to the filename. When viewing a RIP file you can hit any key to stop
- the image from being completed.
-
- When using JView with the file selector you can tag files with the
- [space bar], or you can tag all the files with [ALT T]. Tagged files
- can be viewed with [ALT V], pressing a key advances to the next file.
- Pressing [ESC] at anytime returns the program back to the file selector.
- Tagged files can also be viewed in a slideshow mode by pressing [ALT S].
-
- JView can also be configured to search directories for Icons. Using the
- [F2] option enter the directories your Icons are located. Use the semicolon
- to separate directory paths. eg. C:\BIGICN;C:\SMALLICN
-
- You can also set the directory for exporting Icons. This is the directory
- where Icon files will be created. This is often useful since some RIP
- files can create temporary Icon files which are never erased, this will help
- track them down.
-
- Some users prefer to add different extensions to their RIP files or
- even no extension at all. You can set JView to list ALL the files by leaving
- the File Type(s) option blank. The default setting is for RIP;ICN;HIC;ICO
- files, you can add additional file extensions but remember that they will be
- treated as though they are RIP spec files. To configure JView to display
- only RIP files just remove the other extensions from the File Type(s) field.
-
- You can also toggle the text window option, any text that is not recognized
- by JView will be printed in the text window. The ansi option translates
- ansi escape sequences to be displayed in the text window.
-
- The disk write option allows you to control whether you want files to be
- created when viewing a RIP file. Usually this is used to create and save
- icons.
-
- The delay period for the SlideShow mode be set by changing the SlideShow
- Delay in the Config menu.
-
-
- For a listing of all the available options press the [F1] key.
