- Overview
- ----------------------------------------------------------------
- This new user questionnaire was created to add animation for your
- New Users. This is the best way to catch their attention. The
- questions and screens are completely embedded with @codes so all
- you have to do is follow the installation instructions below and
- your set! The questions ask for all the info possible, update the
- New User's account info, and also offers the user a chance to
- correct any answers given. Online help is offered to those who
- need it. Best of all, the color and animated parts are unreal!

- -----------------------------------------------------------------
- If you use Wildcat 4.x then you should download the Newuser question-
- naire that we created for Wildcat 4.x over a year ago! It's called
- QUES144 and can be downloaded off the MSI HQ BBS (805-873-2400).
-

- Installation
- -----------------------------------------------------------------
- Here it is in 5 easy steps, are you ready?
-
- 1]First, make a back up of Quesnew.dat, located in your Wildcat 5
- questionnaire directory (usually it's called C:\WC5\QUES\ ).
-
- 2]Unzip this archive into your Wildcat 5 Quesitonnaire directory.
- Overwrite the Quesnew.dat that's there (don't worry, you just
- backed it up in step one).
-
- 3]Run Screens.exe. This is a self-extracting archive that contains
- all screens used by Quesnew5. These screens must also remain in
- your Wildcat 5 questionnaire directory.
-
- 4]That's about it. If your Wildcat Questionnaire directory is not
- called C:\WC5\QUES\ then you will need to run wcQues and modify
- Quesnew.dat a little. All that you will need to modify is the
- paths to the .BBS files that are displayed with QUESNEW5.
-
- 5]You can add on to Quesnew.dat. Maybe display your BBS policies and
- then upgrade the user's security level once they are agreed to. I
- left this out because I knew not everyone would want their Newuser
- questionnaire to do this. So, if you want to modify Quesnew.dat then
- feel free. I've included 2 screens that could be used to display
- your BBS policies...they are called Jpolicy1.bbs and Jpolicy2.bbs.
-
- Read your Wildcat 5 manual on how to use wcQues before you try to
- modify any part of Quesnew.dat.

- Aknowledgements
- ----------------------------------------------------------------
- This is a section that has been left out of the .docs that go
- along with our wcCode programs so let me take a minute to thank
- all alpha and beta testers of Jagger's wcCode.
-
- A heartfelt thanks to the countless folks that have registered
- and supported our wcCode programs over the past 3 years.
-
- This questionnaire is offered in appreciation of all the Wildcat
- sysops out there. I know it aint' easy running a BBS so I hope
- this file will save you some time. It is FREEWARE. The only
- reinbursement I would hope for is that you try out our wcCode
- for Wildcat 4.x and Wildcat 5.x. These programs will help you
- make the most of your system.
-
- Thanks again and see ya,
- Chris Jagger
