- SV.EXE and the ARTWORK Archive
- ==================================
-
- This file contains several ANSI and ASCII Screens that may be useful or
- beneficial to you in promoting the initial use of your new UltraSoft
- DoorGame(s) on your BBS. Use them as News Files or in any other way that
- is appropriate for your needs. At the UltraSoft Support BBS, we found
- these and others like them to be quite helpful to remind callers that
- new games have been installed and attract them into trying them out.
-
- Since many of the UltraSoft DoorGames are new to the BBS scene, we have
- found there is an interesting psychological reluctance of many callers to
- not venture into a DoorGame they have not heard of before. Yet if they never
- go in, they will never know what they missed. Usually once they do though,
- they are 'hooked'. So we provide ARTWORK.ZIP to help the Sysop with this
- interesting, yet natural, caller trend.
-
- Also contained withing this archive is an UltraSoft utility called SV.EXE.
- This stands for SCREEN VIEW. When placed in a directory of ANSI or ASCII
- screens for a BBS (or anything else), or if it is somewhere in your PATH,
- it lists all the screens with a .ANS or a .ASC extension in that directory.
- When you scroll around to any file listed, it displays it to your screen in
- ANSI or ASCII mode depending on the file itself. ANSI.SYS must first be
- installed in your CONFIG.SYS file.
-
- Please do not distribute ARTWORK.ZIP or any of its contents, separate from
- the complete DoorGame package.
- Enjoy!
