- PURPOSE:
- -------
- JAGNOTE5.WCX is a custom 'Comment to Sysop' utility to replace the
- existing default [C]omment. JAGNOTE5 allows you to configure up to 5
- menu titles with each title having it's own conference number to post
- the comment in and name of who to send the comment to. So, an example
- of the JAGNOTE5 menu might look like:
-
- [1] Technical Questions
- [2] Jagger wcCode Questions
- [3] Verification Problems
- [4] Complaints
- [5] General Questions
-
- JAGNOTE5 is the most configurable wcCode Comment Utility available and
- offers unmatched graphics that will catch your users' attention!
- JAGNOTE5 comes complete with a configuration .WCX that makes JAGNOTE5
- extremely easy to setup! Here's how it works...the user will choose
- a number, for example # 5 in our menu example above. The comment will
- be sent to the name you configured for the 'General Questions' menu
- title and in the conference number that you chose! Also, the subject
- would automatically be 'General Questions'! JAGNOTE5 is perfect for BBS
- systems with co-sysops, multiple staff who handle comments, or if you
- have a single sysop system and just want to direct different comment
- subjects to different people or conference numbers. Your options are
- unlimited with JAGNOTE5!

- INSTALLATION:
- ------------
- 1. Unzip the contents of the JAGNOTE5 archive into your Wildcat 5
- home directory (usually called "C:\WC5\")!
-
- 2. Use wcMenu to modify any menu that you want to put JAGNOTE5 on.
- All you have to do is change the Comment to Sysop menu key command
- to "Run a wcCode program", then choose "JAGNOTE5" from your choices
- of wcCode programs to run!
-
- 3. Also use wcMenu and set up your Sysop Menu to run NOTECFG5.WCX.
- After configuration you can remove NOTECFG5.WCX from your Sysop
- Menu unless you think you will be reconfiguring JAGNOTE5 often.
- There is an alternate way to run NOTECFG5.WCX without setting it
- up as a menu choice. This alternate method is as follows:
-
- In DOS, from the Main WildCat! Home directory run NOTECFG5.WCX
- using the wcRun -r command line switch. Do NOT use the ".WCX"
- on the end! Example:
-
- wcRun -r notecfg5
-
- 4. Whether you run NOTECFG5.WCX as a menu choice or from DOS, simply
- run it to set up and configure JAGNOTE5! NOTECFG5.WCX will take
- you step by step through the configuration process. If you need
- to make changes later, simply rerun NOTECFG5.WCX!
-
- 5. You're done, now run JAGNOTE5!
-
-
- IMPORTANT NOTE:
- --------------
- All log files, configuration files, and key files for registered users
- will be located in your Wildcat 5 data directory (usually it is called
- "C:\WC5\DATA\"). This is so that these files would NOT clutter up your
- Wildcat 5 home directory.
