  36. DESCRIPTION
  37. -----------
  38. WebCache is used with Netscape Navigator ver. 4.5x, 4.0x, 3.0x or
  39. 2.0x as an utility for off-line browsing. It does 3 things:
  40. SCAN CACHE:
  41.   When activated it will make CACHE.HTM Web page. This is sorted list of
  42.   all http, gopher and ftp addresses of files stored in local cache.

  44. SCAN BOOKMARKS:
  45.   It processes BOOKMARK.HTM file to be able to filter it by server type
  46.   (http, gopher, ftp), and to make it printable with visible addresses.

  48. SAVE PAGES / DELETE PART OF THE CACHE:
  49.   It save pages with pictures and other contents to local directory.
  50.   Hundreds of pages may be saved with single command. Pages are
  51.   localized in a way that they point to each other on local disk.
  52.   Optionally pages may be deleted from cache.

  54. WebCache adds functionality to your browser and it will save you a lot
  55. of money you pay to your Internet provider and telephone company.

  58. INSTALLATION
  59. ------------
  60. WebCache will not change your system settings in any way, so don't worry.
  61. First unzip distribution file webcXXXX.zip to some temporary directory.
  62. - Start Setup program. 
  63. - Choose directory and program group or just leave it as it is. 
  64. - Click on 'Start Installation'. 
  65. - When finished click on 'WebCache' icon.

  67. NOTES:
  68. - In win95 you may use short directory name form
  69.   (for 'Program files\webcache' enter 'progra~1\webcache').
  70. - If you do not wish to make new group or if you do not want new icons to
  71.   be added in existing group make 'Group name' empty before installation.
  72. - After updating with new version check Options and run 'Configure' again.
  73. - Program group is the entry name under 'Start', 'Program Files' (win95).
  74. - When upgrading you do not need to uninstall old version. When starting
  75.   new version check your configuration and options, then save options.
  76.   Reenter registration name and code if necessary.

  79. UNINSTALL
  80. ---------
  81. To uninstall it just click on Setup icon labeled UNINSTAL, then delete
  82. WEBCACHE directory after you saved your localized pages to another place.
