  18. To view Readme.txt on screen in Notepad, maximize the Notepad window.

  20. To print Readme.txt, open it in Notepad or another word processor, and 
  21. then use the Print command on the File menu.

  35. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  38. To run Vypress Messenger 2.1, your system must meet the following 
  39. minimum requirements:

  41. - A 486 with a 66 MHz processor (Pentium processor recommended)
  42. - For Microsoft Windows 95:
  43.   8 MB of RAM minimum
  44.   For Microsoft Windows NT:
  45.   16 MB of RAM minimum
  46. - For Microsoft Windows NT: 
  47.   It is recommended to run Service Pack 3 (or higher)
  48. - 500 KB to 2,5 MB of hard-disk space (depending on installation type) 
  49. - High Color Video Mode
  50. - Mouse
  51. - Modem for Internet Connections or Network Card for LAN

  54. SETUP

  57. - CAUTION: Vypress Messenger 2.1 requires propery installed TCP/IP
  58.   connection. For use Vypress Messenger 2.1 in Local Area Network
  59.   you need install to TCP/IP Protocol first. To install TCP/IP Protocol
  60.   use "Control Panel" -> "Network" -> Add -> Protocol -> Microsoft TCP/IP.
  61.   If you are not connected to Internet and don't use DHCP you may use
  62.   TCP/IP address reserved for intranet network (10.10.*.*).
  63.   If you use dial-up networking you need to connect to Internet BEFORE
  64.   trying to send messages.

  66. Installing Vypress Messenger 2.1
  67. --------------------------------
  68. Whether reinstalling Vypress Messenger 2.1 after previous
  69. installation Setup detects and recommend uninstall previous
  70. version - This step is recommended for properly uninstalling in
  71. the future. To save your Address Book use file SaveAddressBook.bat
  72. from Vypress Messenger folder.

  74. Uninstalling Vypress Messenger 2.1
  75. ----------------------------------
  76. You can uninstall Vypress Messenger 2.1 by carrying out the 
  77. following steps:

  79. 1. In Control Panel, double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
  80. 2. Click Vypress Messenger, and then click Add/Remove.
  81. 3. Follow the instructions on your screen.

  83. KNOWN ISSUES
  84. ============

  86. Fonts in Vypress Messenger 2.1 displayed incorrectly
  87. ----------------------------------------------------
  88. Sometimes after installation of some programs (for example, 
  89. Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or Microsoft Visual Studio 97) 
  90. fonts in Vypress Messenger dialog may be shown incorrectly 
  91. (bolder and more unusual). This problem is caused by overwriting
  92. of the Verdana font. For restoring the font it is recommended to delete 
  93. the Verdana font from "Control Panel" and reinstall Vypress Messenger 2.1
