One of the most famous examples of bestiality is the story of Leda and the swan. Leda was the daughter of King Thestios and the wife of Tyndareus, King of Sparta. While she slept by the shores of the river Eurotas, an immaculate white swan that was being chased by an eagle swooped down on her.
The bird crouched between her thighs and, introducing himself as the god of Light, announced that she would have two sons by him, and that they would shine in the heavens and guide sailors lost at sea.
