System 7 Pro Software
---------------------
The "Developer Version" of PowerTalk included on this disk does not include network encryption capability.
Only one file in this special version, the "PowerTalk Manager", is different from the standard version. The version included here is "v 1.0Δ" where the "Δ" denotes that the version of ASDSP included does not encrypt network communications. ASDSP and PowerTalk have been designed so that "v1.0" and "v1.0Δ" can be used together. Users can tell that something sent from or to a "Δ" version user was not sent encrypted but the difference is transparent to applications.
The encryption technologies used by the PowerTalk Key Chain and DigiSign are not affected in any way.
PowerShare Software
-------------------
PowerShare Collaboration Servers are not included with this SDK. Developers planning to build Server-based Message Service Access Modules should purchase the PowerShare software from an Apple authorized reseller.
Software Updates
----------------
A problem which affects developers using certain high level debuggers was discovered and an application which patches AppleMail is included to fix this problem. Note that redistribution of this update is not permitted.
Other Updates
------------
Updates if any, to documentation, interfaces, etc. will be posted to the appropriate areas on AppleLink. Be sure to check AppleLink on a regular basis.
