<p class="Paragraph"><help:paragraphinfo state="U" number="1" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/>You can define borders around OLE objects, Plug-ins, diagrams/charts, graphics and frames. The name of the menu to be used depends on the object selected.</p>
<p class="Head2"><help:paragraphinfo state="U" number="2" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/>Setting a Predefined Border Style</p>

<p class="P2"><help:paragraphinfo state="U" number="3" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/>Select the object for which you want to define a border.</p>

<p class="P2"><help:paragraphinfo state="U" number="4" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/>Click the <span class="T1">Borders</span> icon on the <span class="T1">Object</span> Bar to open the <span class="T1">Borders</span> window. </p>
<p class="P2"><help:paragraphinfo state="U" number="5" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/>If the icon is not available, the <span class="T1">Object</span> Bar may be in the wrong context. Right-click on the <span class="T1">Object</span> Bar and select the correct <span class="T1">Object</span> Bar from the menu or click the arrow icon at the far right of the <span class="T1">Object</span> Bar.</p>

<p class="P2"><help:paragraphinfo state="U" number="6" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/>Click one of the predefined border styles. This replaces the current border style of the object with the <text:s text:c="" xmlns:text="http://openoffice.org/2000/text"/>selected style.</p>

<p class="P3"><help:paragraphinfo state="U" number="11" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/>In the <span class="T1">User-defined</span> area select the edge(s) that you want to appear in a common layout. Click on an edge in the preview to toggle the selection of an edge.</p>

<p class="P3"><help:paragraphinfo state="U" number="12" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/>Select a line style and color for the selected border style in the <span class="T1">Line</span> area. These settings apply to all border lines that are included in the selected border style.</p>

<p class="P3"><help:paragraphinfo state="U" number="13" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/>Repeat the last two steps for every border edge.</p>

<p class="P3"><help:paragraphinfo state="U" number="14" xmlns:help="http://openoffice.org/2000/help"/>Select the distance between the border lines and the page contents in the <span class="T1">Spacing to Contents</span> area.</p>
