  7. Installation

  10. RideWay should be installed only on a PC (Server PC) that has direct access
  11. to the Internet via a LAN or a dial-up connection. Do not install RideWay on
  12. PCs (Client PCs) which will access the Internet through RideWay.
  13.   
  14. RideWay is distributed as either 
  15.  - rideway-setup.exe: a self-extract executable file or  
  16.  - rideway-setup.zip: a ZIP file
  17.  
  18. If you download 'rideway-setup.exe', run this executable either at
  19. a DOS prompt or from Windows 95/NT Explorer to start the installation.
  20.  
  21. If you download 'rideway-setup.zip', please unzip this file and extract
  22. the 2 unzipped files ('Setup.exe' and 'Readme.txt') to a directory of your 
  23. choice.  Run the executable ('Setup.exe') either at a DOS prompt or 
  24. from Windows 95/NT Explorer to start the installation.
  25.  
  26. The installation process is straight-forward and is guided by InstallShield(TM).
  27. You need only supply your name and company name during the installation process.
  28. If you have an earlier version of RideWay installed on your system, you should
  29. install the new version to a different directory. Otherwise the installation
  30. will not complete correctly. When installation is finished, you can find RideWay
  31. in the 'RideWay ...' group in the Windows 95/NT 'Start' menu.

  33. RideWay can be un-installed through 'Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs'. 
  34. Select 'RideWay ...' and doubly-click the 'Add/Remove' button. You will 
  35. then be asked for a confirmation before RideWay is removed.

  37. When RideWay is run the first time after the installation it will check 
  38. if there is an earlier version on your system. If so it will ask if you
  39. want to copy the settings from the earlier version. So if you want to 
  40. keep your old settings you should un-install the old version after you
  41. have installed the new version and run the new version for at least one
  42. time.

  48. Please refer to the file "Config.txt" under the same directory as this
  49. readme file for detailed Step-By-Step Configuration Instructions
  50. for configuring your LAN and PCs to use RideWay. "Config.txt" is also 
  51. shown as the last step of RideWay installation. You should read
  52. through the file and then close it to finish the installation.

  62. leased-line, or LAN) ...no headaches, no commitment of resources for 
  63. monitoring or maintaining Internet communications.

  111. Starting from RideWay Release 1.6, RideWay has an add-on feature called BreezeWay.
  112. BreezeWay provides a facility for sending and receiving Internet emails, FTP,
  113. Telnet, RealAudio/Video, Http/Https, TCP/UDP mappings for all PCs on a LAN.

  120. RideWay provides a 30-day evaluation period. During this period RideWay is 
  121. running under a 3-user license. Users can also evaluate the BreezeWay option 
  122. during this period. You must register RideWay in order to use it after the
