Helmar Rudolph answers: I also use Pegasus and had the same problem. The secret lies in having Opera already open <B>AND</B> have 'Find browser automatically' ENABLED <B>AND</B> the Opera command line (in my case: E:\Net_Apps\OPERA\Opera.exe) entered in the field below. If you don't follow these steps, Pegasus will attempt to load Netscape or your other browser.

Also make sure you have an empty window open, as Pegasus will load the email-URL in the currently active window in Opera.

Opera, we recommend downloading Win Code. It will "hook" to the taskbar,

them (as long as they pick a default viewer like Quick Time).

Opera is written from scratch and is not based on the code of Mosaic or any other browser. We have not made use of any C++ libraries that might slow things down. Opera can run independently under Windows 3.1 and does not require Win32s.

<I><B>General issues...</B></I>

<LI> If you use Windows 95, we suggest you use the built-in dial-up network to connect to your IAP -- if that is possible, that is.
<LI> Opera does newsgroups only online. There's no way of offline reading other than from the cache.

<LI> Opera cannot receive mail at the moment.
<LI> Opera doesn't yet include a dialler, but we are thinking about it.

The normal key to toggle the menu bar is <B>F11</B>. If that doesn't work, shut down Opera, and edit OPERA.INI in the \WINDOWS directory. Under [USER PREFS] you will find a line that says...

We have built in a special feature that lets you browse offline with ease and WITHOUT any of the other add-on products. Go to Preferences/Cache and set ALL 'Check Modified' options to 'NEVER'. This way you can surf through the cache with all images intact. In future versions, we will make it easier to toggle between default settings and offline settings.

<B>UNDOCUMENTED FEATURE: </B><I><B>I'd like to get rid of the 'Save Windows' box when I exit Opera. How can I do this?</B></I>

<B>Note:</B> If you read the help file of CBM, you will see that Gary uses the primary window for <U>your existing</U> bookmarks, and the secondary window for the <U>bookmarks you'd like to import/merge</U>. Do it in whatever way pleases you. It's all a simple matter of drag and drop.

In CBM you have two windows -- a primary source (import) window, and a secondary target (export) window. Now do this:

To recap this <B>export</B> again: you open the source bookmark list/item in the <U>left</U>
window and drag it (or individual URLs or sublists) to the <U>right</U> window. Then you <U>save the right window</U>

I have imported all three (IE, NS, Opera) hotlists into a NEW Opera
hotlist and it worked first time. Took me less than 4 minutes!

Remember that Opera has only sublists and these sublists have
entries. When merging or importing different lists, because of Opera
2.12's way of managing the lists, they will be modified so that they
ADHERE to Opera.

<I><B>How do I add bookmarks?</B></I>

First of all, if you have sublists in your address list, you need to select a sublist to be the current one. This will also be the list accessible via the toolbar menu. Then you just press <B>Ctrl-T</B> to add the current URL to the current list. If you want to change the list, do this via <B>Ctrl-F2</B>.
