  20. Starting the installation program
  21. -----------------------------------------------------------
  22. The Delphi 5 installation program should run automatically 
  23. when you insert your CD. Otherwise, launch the setup 
  24. program-- INSTALL.EXE --from your CD.

  27. IMPORTANT! Be sure to reboot the computer (as prompted by
  28. the installation program) after installing and before using
  29. the product.

  32. Installation directory
  33. -----------------------------------------------------------
  34. By default, Delphi 5 installs into the directory:

  36.   \Program Files\Borland\Delphi5

  38. This README and most other documentation assumes these 
  39. defaults.

  41. If you install to a different location, be sure you do
  42. not install over any previous Delphi release.

  44. Installing the Borland Database Engine
  45. -----------------------------------------------------------
  46. This Trial release of Delphi includes a new version of the
  47. Borland Database Engine (BDE). Unless you specify other
  48. than the default setup directories during installation,
  49. Delphi will overwrite existing 32-bit BDE and SQL Links
  50. installations.

  61. REMOVING DELPHI
  62. ===========================================================
  63. To uninstall Delphi 5 Trial from your computer, open the 
  64. Control Panel folder and double-click the Add/Remove 
  65. Programs icon. Select Borland Delphi 5 Trial from the list, 
  66. then click the Add/Remove button. Follow the instructions
  67. that appear on the screen.
