  17. 1. Extended customization: The aspects and calculation settings 
  18.    dialogs have been extended with user controls affecting things like 
  19.    what aspects are included based on orb and sign, and how different 
  20.    factors are weighed in the element mode summary.

  28. This update contains a few fixes and small enhancements. 
  29.  
  30. 1. The new house system introduced in version 0.96 now uses the 
  31.    properly calculated sidereal offset used for the sidereal zodiac. 
  32.    This ancient Indian style of equal houses can now be combined 
  33.    with the tropical zodiac to perhaps gain the best of the two 
  34.    worlds.

  36. A fix relevant to the OS/2 version found in Astrolog 5.40 has 
  37. been incorporated:

  39. 2. -YJ bug: The -YJ switch which allows changing what signs each
  40.    planet rules, wouldn't also update a reverse table which given a 
  41.    sign indicates which planet rules it. This would cause -YJ to have
  42.    seemingly no effect on the sign list table, the influence chart, 
  43.    and the dispositor graph.

  45. A couple of small enhancements in Astrolog 5.40 for windows have been
  46. implemented:
  47.  
  48. 3. Improved glyphs: Astrolog now has higher resolution graphic glyphs
  49.    for sign symbols and house numbers. Before, some glyphs drawn at 
  50.    the default 200% or medium scale and up would look slightly blocky. 
  51.    Now, with a alternate "internal font" of double sized glyphs, the 
  52.    medium ones are smooth to the nearest pixel like the small glyphs 
  53.    are. The glyph for the Quintile aspect has also been improved.
  54.  
  55. 4. Dialog extension: The sidereal zodiac degree adjustment field in
  56.    the Calculation Settings dialog has been fitted with a dropdown 
  57.    making it possible to quickly select among several common systems 
  58.    of sidereal astrology. The values in it are 0:00 for Fagan Bradley, 
  59.    0:53 (0 degrees 53') for N.C. Lahiri, 0:59 (0 degrees 59') for 
  60.    Krishnamurti, and 2:20 (or 2 degrees 20') for B.V. Raman.

  62. A couple of additional changes specific to the OS/2 version:

  64. 5. The Julian day number is now displayed in the info side bar for 
  65.    graphics charts.

  67. 6. Bugfix: The text for Lilith/South node becomes wrong if you switch
  68.    off and on ephemeris a couple of times. Not a big deal, but a bit
  69.    misleading and perhaps confusing.

  71. 7. The text mode credits display has been dropped (the OS/2 version
  72.    is a GUI application and has a more informative credits dialog).

  78. 1. An additional house system called Jyotish Houses. In this system
  79.    the first house always contains the Ascendant, but the Ascendant
  80.    is not necessarily the starting point of the first house.

  82.    shown by selecting "Show Dwads" from the settings menu. 
  83. 3. Updated help file to contain OS/2 specific information. The new
  84.    house system has the number 14. The command-line switch for
  85.    calculating dwads is "-4".
  86. 4. All dialogs are now fully converted to Warp 4 meaning reduced
  87.    footprints and more aesthetic looks.
  88. 5. Defaults buttons in dialogs having them are now working.

  96. reflected in the titlebar as well as in the persistent chart buffers.

  108.    ruler has been assigned) of the Sun, Moon and rising signs. The 
  109.    boost is calculated from the weights assigned to these three 
  110.    indicators and is also dependent on the base weights assigned to 
  111.    the boosted bodies.
  112. 4. A few ugly bugs in the new buffer system have been fixed.
  113. 5. If a house system is undefined for a chart a warning will be 
  114.    displayed noting that the Equal House System will be used instead.

  140. 2. Saves current chart info between runs. This includes current file
  141.    name (if there is any). Also loads filename when opening a
  142.    chart by double-clicking on it.
