- Hi, my name is Magnus Olsson and I'm the author of Astrolog for OS/2,
- which is a port of the famous program Astrolog by Walter D. Pullen.
-
- First of all my thanks to those who have sent me encouraging emails!
- I hope you are still OS/2 users and find Astrolog for OS/2 useful in
- the lives you lead.
-
- As you maybe can tell from my birth chart I like to be of service, but
- my time and resources are somewhat limited in this existence. For
- instance, I haven't got a printer, and this is one of the reasons my
- port hasn't got printing implemented yet. Another is that graphics
- rendering can be much improved thanks to the OS/2 Graphics Programming
- Interface (GPI). This will however take some time for redesign and
- time is also a limitation right now (I have to spend time elsewhere to
- earn my daily bread).
-
- Just to be very clear, all kinds of feed-back are welcome, especially
- criticisms on anything from dialog layouts, missing features, to
- the contents of the text files supplied in the package (readme.txt,
- helpfile.txt and basics.txt in particular). Feature requests are of
- course welcome too (with the exception of those listed in the readme
- with an asterisk after them). Smaller features may be included in
- updates preceding version 1.0, implementations of more ambitious
- feature requests will make it into later versions. I will keep a list
- of all enhancements requested and pass it on to any successor in case
- I would retreat into the woods or fall from grace:-)
-
- Astrolog for OS/2 will be demonstrated as part of the vendor 100
- program at the very positive Warp Expo West event taking place on
- September 18 in southern California. This event is _free_ for both
- exhibitors and visitors! For more info visit the inspiring Warp Expo
- web site:

-
- If there is any programmer using Astrolog for OS/2 you are welcome to
- access the complete source code and resources, just email me your
- interest. In any case the source will become public when the version
- number reaches 1.0 (in probably less than six months from now).
