  2.            The PPage Font Conversion/Management System

  4. Now Professional Page owners can use any of the thousands of
  5. PostScript® fonts available for the Mac!
  6. MIfont will convert any Macintosh PostScript® screen font into a
  7. standard Amiga screen font with a PPage .metric file.
  8. Since the fonts MIfont generates are standard Amiga bitmaps they
  9. may also be used by any other Amiga application which uses bitmap
  10. fonts!

  12. Mac screen fonts 
  13.  
  14. · Mac screen fonts come in 5 or more pointsizes, not just 2 like
  15. PPage's. These fonts have been designed by hand for accuracy and
  16. legibility meaning that at most sizes below 30 points they look
  17. as good or better than CG Outline fonts.
  18. · All members of a font family have their own bitmaps. For
  19. example Galliard-Italic looks on screen exactly as you see it
  20. here, and is not just a slanted version of Galliard-Roman, for a
  21. truer wysiwyg representation.
  22. · MIfont-converted fonts contain an average of 50 more characters
  23. than do PPage bitmap or CG Outline fonts. They even have 19 more
  24. characters than Mac users have access to!

  26. Download both Mac and IBM printer fonts automatically!
  27. MIfont will convert any Mac or IBM PostScript® Type 1 printer
  28. font into a format you can download to your PostScript® printer
  29. using Gold Disk's Download utility. Or click on the Download
  30. Fonts button in PPage's output menu and your fonts will be
  31. downloaded automatically!

  34. Essentially, all converted fonts are kept in a user-definable
  35. storage directory and then moved into your system's FONTS:
  36. directory instantly with a single click of the mouse. There is
  37. even a function for moving fonts required by a PPage document
  38. automatically simply by clicking on the document file's name! You
  39. can even define multiple font storage directories, perfect for
  40. managing DTP as well as video font libraries!

  43. All of MIfont's functions are accessed through a single window on
  44. the Workbench via a completely Intuition-based interface. There
  45. are no pathnames to type and no drop-down menus to get in your
  46. way. There's even an iconify mode!

  51. from service bureaus and many public bulletin board systems. As
  52. well, Mirror Image has obtained permission from Adobe Systems
  53. Inc. to make their collection of Mac format PostScript® screen
  54. fonts (volumes 1-199) available on Amiga format disks for public
