Sometimes, about all I have to do with my computer is make calendars for the refrigerator. Having two school-age kids makes them a necessity. I've always found Professional Page the best way to do it, but without some automated system for creating all those little boxes, I was left each month with the tedious job of either drawing and aligning all those little boxes from scratch, or moving around boxes and dates to fit next month.
I did find some calendar page genies on Compuserve, but they weren't entirely self-contained, requiring a dummy page file, etc. Even then, the boxes had to be manually aligned.
So, I create a Genie of my own. And this is it.
WHAT ARCHIVE CONTAINS:
calendar.pprx
read.me
WHAT TO DO:
Simply copy the calendar.pprx file to your rexx director before starting ProPage.
It'll prompt you if you have created a page first. It'll create the page for you.
Next, it'll ask you for the month and then for the typeface you want.
Now, just sit back and watch it draw the calendar.
After it's drawn the calendar, it'll ask you if you want any special dates annotated. If you don't, just click somewhere on the page that doesn't contain a box.
That's it.
Feel free to modify this script all you want.

HOW IT WORKS:
It's merely a genie rexx script that creates and aligns all the boxes and dates for whatever month you specify. It even prompts you when it's over if you want to add any special dates.
