  1. PAGESTREAM IMPORT MODULE

  3. Art Expression EPS import module version 2.2.1.
  4.  
  5. Store this module in your Drivers path. (Normally, PGSTREAM/DRIVERS.)

  7. With this module, you can import Art Expression EPS files (those
  8. saved with the Save or Save As... commands) directly, without having
  9. to export your drawings as IFF DR2D or Illustrator EPS.

  11. PageStream has always had the ability to import Art Expression EPS
  12. files (AE EPS), but without this module, it imported them as EPS data
  13. blocks which were represented as boxes with crosses on screen and
  14. which would only print to PostScript printers. This module will
  15. import them and interpret the EPS file so that you can not see and
  16. edit them in PageStream, and print them to any type of printer.

  18. The only non-standard thing to note when importing Art Expression
  19. drawings is that the color names used in the drawing will be lost and
  20. numbered colors will be shown in PageStream. For example, Art
  21. Expression's 'White' will import as ArtExp000000FF. This will not
  22. affect the true color of the objects, or how they will be displayed
  23. or printed.

  25. If you have any problems importing an Art Expression drawing into
  26. PageStream with this module, first load the drawing into the latest
  27. version of Art Expression and then save it back out. Some bugs in
  28. saving EPS files were fixed in Art Expression 1.03, and reloading and
  29. saving a file can remove errors in the file.
